Course Information
An introductory instructor led session to Stand-up Paddle boarding. This will be in a relaxed format and will involve participants learning the fundamentals of paddle boarding including; how to carry a board safely, understanding hazards and how to avoid them, prone paddling (laying on stomach) and when to use this position correctly, paddling on your knees with a paddle, stance and positioning on the board and how to get back on the board, paddle techniques including changing direction.
Course Information
The sessions run on Saturdays and are open for families with children over 8yrs old and children aged 14+ can attend unacompanied by an adult. You are not required to have any paddleboarding experience to take part. However, these sessions are designed to develop skill and technical ability and participants must follow the guidance from instructors. For 'Have a Go' sessions including games, please book children onto a TAZ school holiday paddling course or join a group of your friends by booking a small group booking.
These sessions are suitable for adults with children 8+ and individual children aged 14+, therefore groups will be a mix of ages and abilities and are perfect for family groups. All participants should be water confident although we do provide buoyancy aids for all.
The session will be run and supervised by one of our qualified instructors.
Please note that bad behaviour of children affects the safety and enjoyment of all participants and will not be tolerated. We stress that all participants should have the serious intention of learning and improving their paddleboarding skills.
